The short version. We collect the least we can to sell you a licence and support it: a contact handle, the trading account number your build is locked to, and your payment transaction reference. We set no tracking cookies, our analytics is anonymous and cookieless, and we never sell your data. You can ask us to see or delete what we hold at any time.
01Who we are
Velocity Trading Systems ("we", "us", "our") is an independent developer of algorithmic trading software for the MetaTrader 5 platform, operated from the United Kingdom. For anything in this policy, including any request about your data, contact us on Telegram at @VelocityTradingSystems. We are the controller of the personal data described here.
02What we collect
We only collect what we need to sell and support a licence:
- Contact handle: the messaging username you contact us with, usually a Telegram username, so we can deliver your build and support you.
- Trading account number(s): the MetaTrader account number(s) we lock your build to. This is an account identifier, not a login. We never ask for and never receive your broker password or trading credentials.
- Payment details: the cryptocurrency transaction reference and wallet address used to confirm your payment. Payments are made on a public blockchain, which we do not control.
- Support messages: the content of what you send us when you ask for help, so we can resolve it.
- Anonymous website statistics: aggregate totals such as page views and country, with no profile of you. See section 06.
03What we do not collect
- No card numbers or bank details. We do not take card payments.
- No broker passwords, trading logins or investor passwords. Ever.
- No tracking cookies, advertising identifiers or cross-site profiles.
- No access to your money, your broker account or your trades. The software runs on your own machine under your control.
04Why we use it
- To confirm your payment and prepare a licence build locked to your account.
- To deliver your build, set files and setup guide, and to support them.
- To operate the licence system that keeps your build active and lets us renew or revoke it as agreed.
- To answer your questions and keep a basic record of your purchase.
- To understand, in aggregate only, how the website is used, and to keep it secure.
05Legal bases
Under the UK GDPR we rely on:
- Performance of a contract: to deliver and support the licence you bought.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the site and licence system secure, to prevent abuse of the licence, and to understand anonymous, aggregate site usage.
- Legal obligation: to keep records we are required by law to keep.
06Analytics and cookies
We do not use tracking cookies and we do not build a profile of you. Our website analytics is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-focused, does not use cookies, and does not track you across other websites. It gives us only anonymous, aggregate figures such as total page views and the country a visit came from.
The only thing stored in your browser is a single functional setting: when you choose a display currency on the checkout page, we remember that choice on your own device so the page shows the currency you picked. It is not a cookie, it is not shared with anyone, and it never leaves your browser. Full detail is in our Cookies Policy.
07Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the service, and only as far as needed:
- Telegram: the messaging platform we use to talk to you and deliver builds.
- Our hosting and content delivery provider: to serve the website and provide the anonymous analytics described above.
- The public blockchain: cryptocurrency payments are recorded on a public ledger that we do not control.
- Authorities: only where the law requires us to disclose something.
08Where your data is processed
Some of the providers above process data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses or an approved adequacy decision.
09How long we keep it
We keep the details tied to your licence and purchase for as long as your licence is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can support you, honour the licence, and meet any legal record-keeping duty. Support messages are kept while they are useful and then cleared. Anonymous site statistics are not tied to you and are kept in aggregate only.
10Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- See the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your data, where we are not required to keep it.
- Restrict or object to how we use it.
- Receive a copy in a portable format.
To make any of these requests, message us on Telegram at @VelocityTradingSystems. We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
11Children
Our software and this website are intended for adults who are old enough to trade financial instruments where they live, which in most places means at least 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has contacted us, let us know and we will delete it.
12Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page with the date above is the current one. For any question or any request about your data, message us on Telegram at @VelocityTradingSystems.
